DODA: As part of the ongoing Dharti Aabha - Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, a vibrant outreach programme was organized today by the Block Development Officer Kahara, Mool Raj at Government Higher Secondary School, Nagni (Kuthiyara), Bhatyas.
The event was conducted under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh and witnessed enthusiastic participation from large number of locals, including youth, farmers, women and elderly from the tribal-dominated Bathu-II Panchayat.
The objective of the programme was to generate awareness about government-sponsored flagship schemes, particularly those aimed at uplifting the socio-economic conditions of Scheduled Tribes. Officers delivered detailed presentations on key development initiatives, including construction of rural infrastructure like bridges, school sanitation facilities, solar-powered installations and water harvesting systems-each tailored to meet the unique needs of tribal villages. The programme also focused on promoting education, skill development and livelihood opportunities through convergence of centrally sponsored schemes.
To enhance community engagement, different departments and line agencies set up informative stalls, offering brochures, audiovisual displays and on-spot registration services. Attendees were provided hands-on demonstrations and guided assistance regarding eligibility and application processes. Several beneficiaries shared their experiences and motivated others to actively participate in development schemes.
An open interaction session was also held during which the locals raised several queries about project timelines, selection procedures and grievance redressal mechanisms. Officials attentively addressed public concerns and assured follow-up at appropriate levels.
