DAJGUA: District Administration Pulwama organises mega tribal outreach camp at Inderwali Sangerwani

Multi-departmental outreach brings services and welfare schemes to tribal doorsteps

PULWAMA: Continuing its commitment to ensuring last-mile delivery of public services and welfare measures, district administration Pulwama today organised a mega tribal outreach camp at Inderwali Sangerwani under the nationwide flagship initiative Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA).

The initiative envisions the holistic upliftment of tribal communities through focused interventions across sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, livelihoods, and digital inclusion.

With strong inter-departmental coordination, multiple government departments including Health, Education, RDD, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, FCS&CA, and Forest had set up dedicated stalls to deliver instant services and enhance outreach of welfare schemes envisioned under the Abhiyan.

Rural Development department had also set up a dedicated service desk that facilitated on-the-spot registration of Job Cards under MGNREGA, processed claims under the Forest Rights Act (FRA), and ensured inclusion of eligible households under PMAY (G).

A special stall by Mission Poshan focused on nutrition and health awareness among children, adolescent girls, pregnant women, and lactating mothers was also set up on the occasion.

Health department conducted a comprehensive health camp offering free consultations, screenings, and diagnostics, with a focus on sickle cell disease and water-borne illnesses. Medical teams also conducted awareness sessions on preventive healthcare and early detection.

The camp saw an overwhelming response from tribal residents, leaders and youth representatives, who lauded the initiative for delivering crucial services and support at the grassroots level.
