All major construction work in Ram temple to be completed by July-end: Temple panel chief

AYODHYA: The construction of the Ram temple here is in its final phase, with all major work expected to be completed by the end of July, Chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee Nripendra Mishra said on Saturday.

Mishra said that of the 14 lakh cubic feet of Bansi Paharpur stone required for the temple and its enclosure, 13 lakh cubic feet has already been installed.

He said murals depicting the Ram Katha have been completed on 500 feet of the approximately 800-foot-long lower plinth of the temple. In the surrounding enclosure, 45 of the planned 80 bronze murals have been installed.

"For the first time in India, titanium metal is being used in the windows of any temple. This is unique in itself," Mishra said, highlighting the metal's durability, which he claimed exceeds 1,000 years.

He reiterated that the Ram Temple Construction Committee expects all major construction work to be completed by the end of July.
