Medical shop sealed for illegal sale of drugs in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR: District Police Udhampur in coordination with the Assistant Controller Drugs Udhampur, sealed Ankush Medical Hall in Garhi, Udhampur for failing to maintain proper records and selling drugs without valid prescriptions as mandated by law.

During the inspection, the team recovered & seized 26 strips of Pregabalin capsules found in the possession of the proprietor namely Ankush Sharma of Garhi, without any corresponding sales or purchase records or valid medical prescriptions.

It is pertinent to mention that, including today's case, a total of six medical shops have been sealed for non-compliance with drug control norms since January- 2025.
