BUDGAM: Dharti Aaba Abhiyan was conducted today at Village Ringzabal, a notified tribal village in Block Sukhnag, with a strong message of inclusive development, awareness, and administrative outreach.
The day witnessed the culmination of efforts by 17 line departments towards achieving 100% saturation of key government schemes in tribal areas.
Nodal Officer for the programme, Hilal Arafat lauded the cooperation between departments and the active engagement of the local tribal population.
In their address, officials from various line departments emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring last-mile delivery of services and highlighted the importance of such campaigns in building trust and transparency between the administration and tribal communities.
Throughout the day, Gram Sabha sessions remained the focal point of the campaign, with departmental representatives addressing scheme-related queries, clarifying eligibility criteria, and assisting in on-spot registrations for a wide array of welfare initiatives including PMAY-G (Housing), KCC (Kisan Credit Card), PMJAY (Ayushman Bharat), Swadesh Darshan Guest House registration, HADP (Agriculture schemes), JJM - FHTC (Tap water connections).
The day's proceedings also included field visits by officials to monitor progress on scheme implementation and identify areas requiring special focus. A display of IEC (Information, Education and Communication) materials ensured that information was made accessible in local dialects and in simplified form.
As part of cultural engagement, tribal students and artists performed local Gojri and Pahari songs, reiterating the theme of preserving one's ethnic identity while embracing development. The local community expressed heartfelt appreciation for this platform that brought various welfare departments to their doorstep.
Local panchayat head expressed gratitude to the district administration, all participating departments, and especially to the Rural Development department for the programme, for selecting Ringzabal as a host village for this important initiative. She also urged for such participatory campaigns to be held more frequently in remote tribal areas.
The successful conduct of Dharti Aabha Abhiyan at Ringzabal marks a significant step toward bridging developmental gaps and ensuring equity in governance for marginalized tribal populations.
