MVD Ramban conducts Road Safety and Enforcement Drive
Seizes 12 vehicles, Challanes 25 others

RAMBAN: The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Ramban conducted a massive road safety and enforcement drive in Sub-Division Gool to curb traffic violations and ensure road safety.
The drive was carried out by the enforcement team from MVD led by Inspector Darpan Sharma.
During the checking, the team inspected a large number of vehicles at various points. As many as 12 vehicles were seized and 25 vehicles were challaned for violating different provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
The major violations detected during the drive included vehicles operating without valid permits, overloading of goods and passengers, driving without valid fitness certificates, riding without helmets and driving vehicles without valid insurance documents.
The MVD officials warned the transport operators against such violations as the same not only endanger the lives of drivers and passengers but also pose serious risks to other road users. They further emphasized that the enforcement drives will continue in the coming days across the district to ensure that traffic rules are strictly followed.
The department has urged all vehicle owners, drivers, and commuters to adhere to traffic laws, maintain valid documents, avoid overloading and always wear helmets while riding two-wheelers. Strict legal action will be taken against violators as part of the administration's commitment to ensuring public safety and reducing road accidents.
