DC Poonch reviews execution of Samagra Shiksha Projects
Emphasizes timely Completion of pending Works across Sub-Divisions

POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, today chaired a high-level meeting to review the physical and financial progress of development works taken up under the Samagra Shiksha program in the district.
At the outset, the District Education Planning Officer (DEPO), Mukhtar Ahmed Manhas, gave a comprehensive presentation outlining the current status of projects. According to the report, out of the 360 sanctioned works under the scheme, 128 have been completed, 81 are in progress, and 151 are yet to be started.
The Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of division-wise status and fund utilization under the scheme. He directed the concerned Executive Engineers to expedite the pace of work and ensure the completion of 27 identified projects across all sub-divisions within a one-month timeframe.
The review meeting was aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability, and the timely execution of educational infrastructure projects under the centrally sponsored Samagra Shiksha initiative. The Deputy Commissioner stressed that any delays in implementation, directly impact the delivery of quality education and called for close monitoring to fast-track remaining works.
The administration reiterated its commitment to strengthening the education sector and improving learning environments in government schools through efficient execution of development plans.
