ADC Bhaderwah reviews implementation of NGT directions

BHADERWAH: In compliance with the directives issued by the National Green Tribunal (NGT), Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar Bhutyal, chaired a significant review meeting today at his office chamber.
The meeting aimed to evaluate the implementation status of environmental protection measures and reinforce interdepartmental coordination for effective compliance with the NGT's directives.
During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on the Action Taken Report (ATR) submitted to the NGT on the ecological concerns in the region. The review primarily focused on the enforcement of plastic ban, conservation of local water bodies, proper solid waste management, and the protection of forest areas. Officers were instructed to ensure that stringent measures are taken at the ground level to preserve the fragile ecosystem of Bhaderwah.
The meeting witnessed the active participation of key officials including Executive Engineers of PWD (R&B), DFO Forest, JKPCC, Tehsildars of Bhaderwah and Bhalla, BMO Bhaderwah, AEE PHE, Accounts Officer BDA, and BDOs of Bhaderwah and Bhalla, along with representatives from the Pollution Control Board and Municipal Committee. All departments were urged to maintain proper documentation and to submit monthly compliance reports to the ADC's office.
