DLSA, Dawn comm. commemorates Int'l Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking at Budgam

BUDGAM: In pursuance to the directions of the National Legal Services Authority, DAWN Unit Budgam (Drug Awareness And Wellness Navigation For a Drug Free Indian) of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Budgam in collaboration with Drug Department Budgam organized an anti drug rally from the District Court Complex Budgam to the District Hospital Budgam.

The rally was conducted under the chairmanship of O.P. Bhagat, Chairman DLSA (Pr.Distt.& sessions Judge) Budgam and under the supervision of by Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary, DLSA, (Nodal Officer of the DAWN Unit Committee) Budgam, and was attended by Drug Inspector Budgam and other officials of Drug office, several DAWN unit members, officials of DLSA and TLSCs Budgam, LADCs, Panel Lawyers, PLVs and other stakeholders of the Unit.

In the rally, the slogans were raised ‘Say No to Drugs & Yes to Life' ‘Drugs free under Yuddh Nashe ke Virudh', ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat', ‘Nope to Dope' etc. Participants were holding placards displaying the message Stop Drugs, and pamphlets were distributed to the general public.

The DAWN committee members are committed to bring down awareness to the basic unit of society, and eliminate the drug from society and make the society drug free.
