DLSA Budgam organizes training programme on E-Lok Adalat

BUDGAM: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Budgam, under the Aegis of J&K Legal Services Authority, conducted a special training programme on E-Lok Adalat for Panel Lawyers, LADCs and PLVs of DLSA Budgam & TLSCs in the ADR centre, DLSA Budgam.
The programme was held under the chairmanship of O.P.Bhagat, Chairman DLSA (Pr.Distt. & Sessions Judge) Budgam and supervision of Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary DLSA Budgam
Training aimed to assess the effectiveness and strengthening of the E-Lok Adalat platform, and to improve its accessibility, particularly for rural populations and those with limited technological access.
Lateef Ahmad & Javid Ahmad Mir (Chief LADC & Deputy LADC Budgam) were the resource persons for the said training program. They imparted training on the subject to the participants and apprised them that E-Lok Adalats will reduce the pendency of cases in courts by settling the disputes at pre-litigation stage, which will save money & time of common masses.
They said that the concept of the E-Lok Adalat was conceptualized to improve access to justice for people who were otherwise unable to participate in the Lok Adalats.
The training programme concluded with a question answer & interaction session during which participants cleared their doubts and expressed themselves.
