RAMBAN: As part of the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gramin Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), the District Administration Ramban on Thursday organised a comprehensive Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camp at Nachlana, Khari Lower-A Panchayat, a remote tribal area in Block Khari.
The camp witnessed active participation from Tehsildar Harvir Singh, Block Development Officer Urfan Khan, and ABF (NITI Aayog) Ishfaq Bashir, along with officials from other departments. The primary objective of the camp was to ensure last-mile delivery of government welfare schemes, enhance public awareness, and facilitate the tribal population's access to various social security, health, and livelihood schemes.
A wide range of departments provided services during the camp. The Health and AYUSH Departments offered free health check-ups, consultations, and shared information on preventive healthcare and traditional medicine. The Animal Husbandry Department delivered veterinary services and raised awareness about livestock health, vaccinations, and government-supported subsidy programs.
The Revenue and Tehsil Social Welfare Departments facilitated services related to land records, income certificates, caste certificates, and pension schemes, helping resolve several pending issues on the spot. The Women and Child Development (ICDS) department provided valuable guidance on maternal and child health, nutrition, and highlighted key government initiatives like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
The Block Development Officer (BDO) informed participants about various self-employment schemes, MGNREGA opportunities, and rural development initiatives, encouraging locals to take advantage of the available schemes. Meanwhile, the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments educated farmers on modern farming practices, organic farming techniques, soil health management, and government assistance for seeds, tools, and orchard development.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, who engaged directly with officers from different departments. Many issues related to documentation, access to health services, and enrollment in welfare schemes were addressed on the spot, reflecting the administration's commitment to responsive and people-centric governance.
