Tribal Welfare Outreach Camp held at Mangit

RAMBAN: As part of Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, District Administration Ramban on Tuesday organised a comprehensive Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camp at Mangit Panchayat, a remote tribal area in Block Khari.

The event was attended by Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Mohammad Ashfaq Khan, Block Development Officer Khari, Urfan Khan and other district and block-level officials.

Numerous departments collaborated to provide on-spot services and information to the local tribal community. The Health and AYUSH departments offered preventive healthcare services, including free medical check-ups and awareness on Indian Medicine System. The Animal Husbandry Department provided veterinary support and sensitized locals about livestock care and available schemes and subsidies.

The Revenue and Tehsil Welfare departments facilitated the issuance of important documents such as caste, income, and land-related certificates, besides addressing pension-related grievances. The Women and Child Development Department (ICDS) spread awareness about maternal and child healthcare, nutrition, and government schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. The Block Development Office educated attendees about employment schemes, rural development programs and ongoing MGNREGA works.

In addition, the Agriculture and Horticulture departments guided farmers on modern farming practices, soil health management, organic cultivation, and subsidies available for seeds, farming tools and orchard development.

The residents actively interacted with departmental representatives, seeking redressal of grievances and clearing doubts about government interventions. Many of their concerns were resolved on the spot, reflecting the administration's commitment to responsive and efficient governance.
