DAJGUA awareness drive reaches Markoot and Achoora in Gurez

BANDIPORA: As part of the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), district administration Bandipora on Friday organized awareness and benefit saturation camps at Middle School Markoot and High School Achoora in Gurez valley.

These camps witnessed active participation from tribal communities, including women, elders, and youth. The events focused on delivering doorstep services and sensitizing residents about key government welfare schemes, ensuring inclusive development in the remote and high-altitude areas of Gurez.

On the occasion, different departments including Health, Social Welfare, Education, Rural Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, and Animal and Sheep Husbandry had set up stalls and service counters and facilitated on-the-spot registrations, enrolments, and dissemination of information about central and UT schemes viz. PMAY-G, Ujjwala Yojana, PM-KISAN, pension schemes, and scholarship programmes.

These outreach activities are part of the 15-day DAJGUA campaign, which was earlier launched at GHSS Aragam, covering 31 tribal villages across the district. The initiative aims to achieve 100% saturation of welfare schemes, bridging service delivery gaps and ensuring that no eligible beneficiary is left behind.
