PMFME awareness camp held at Batapora Shopian

SHOPIAN: Targeting the women entrepreneurship development in district Shopian, department of Horticulture Planning & Marketing Shopian today organized second awareness programme on Prime Ministers Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme at NRLM DMMU Batapora Shopian.

A large gathering of potential individual entrepreneurs particularly women SHGs and individuals of the district participated in the event.

AGMO and GMI Shopian addressed the gathering and presented an overview and potential scope of the scheme in the district. They informed that the scheme offers 35% credit linked capital subsidy with a maximum ceiling of Rs. 10.00 lakhs and Rs. 40,000 seed capital per member for SHGs and Producer Cooperatives with a support for Branding and Marketing and hand holding to the units to be established under the scheme.

Bank Officials also deliberated in detail about the procedures to be followed while the cases are being sanctioned by the banks. Expressing the desire, many potential women entrepreneurs were registered on spot.

District Resource Person, PMFME scheme Shopian, shared the entire registration and documentation process with the participants.
