Training Session on Pension Suvidha held for DDOs at Anantnag

Director Accounts & Treasuries Kashmir presides over the event

ANANTNAG: Director Accounts and Treasuries Kashmir, Abdul Hamid Kumar today chaired a comprehensive training session on the ‘Pension Suvidha' digital system at the conference Hall of District Treasury Anantnag.

The session was aimed to familiarize Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) of district Anantnag with the functionalities of the integrated Pension Suvidha portal for ensuring timely and transparent processing of pensions and other retirement benefit cases of retiring government employees through the digital mode.

In his address, Director emphasized the significance of e-governance interventions such as the Pension Suvidha portal in easing the process of submitting retirement cases of the Government officials. He urged all stakeholders to fully utilize the system to enhance efficiency and improve the pension processing timeline.

Commending the efforts of the treasury staff, Director also appreciated the support provided by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and District Information Office, Anantnag in facilitating the department's digital transformation initiatives. He reiterated the department's commitment to strengthening financial governance and improving public service delivery through the adoption of modern digital systems.

Director further informed that DDOs from various departments will also be trained in a phased manner on Pension Suvidha and other digital financial systems to ensure uniform implementation and capacity building across the district.

A detailed PowerPoint presentation was presented by the District Treasury Office Anantnag highlighting the features, functionality, and operational workflow of the Pension Suvidha system. The session also included live demonstrations to facilitate better understanding of the platform's usage and implementation.

The training session was a part of ongoing training programmes organized by Accounts & Treasuries department across the UT of J&K.

The event concluded with an interactive session of discussion, during which participants provided feedback, raised queries, and explored the system's benefits and potential challenges.
