Review meeting for ‘International Yoga Day' celebrations held at Anantnag

ANANTNAG: In view of the upcoming International Day of Yoga, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag, Sandeep Singh Bali today chaired a comprehensive preparatory meeting with the heads of various concerned departments at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Anantnag.
The meeting was convened to review and finalize the arrangements for the smooth and successful conduct of the Yoga session scheduled to be held on 21st June, as part of the nationwide celebrations of the International Day of Yoga.
During the meeting, ADC emphasized the importance of the event and underscored the need for coordinated efforts among all departments to ensure its effective execution.
He directed all line departments to extend full cooperation and make all necessary arrangements well in advance. This includes ensuring the availability of essential logistics such as sound systems, mats, drinking water, medical support, sanitation, security arrangements, and transportation facilities for participants.
Bali stressed on maintaining cleanliness at the venue, adequate publicity and IEC (Information, Education & Communication) activities to generate public awareness and enthusiasm around the event. He urged the officers to promote mass participation and create a festive and health-conscious atmosphere in the district in line with the vision of ‘Yoga for Harmony and Peace.'
ADC instructed the concerned departments to maintain inter-departmental coordination and regularly monitor the preparedness to avoid any last-minute issues. He also called for the deployment of volunteers and officials to assist in organizing the session and managing the crowd effectively.
Notably 21st June marks the International Day of Yoga which aims to promote health, wellness and the holistic benefits of yoga among masses globally.
