DAJGUA Day-2: Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camps held at Abhama & Draklaran of Pulwama

PULWAMA: Continuing its mission to ensure inclusive development and last-mile delivery of services, district administration Pulwama today organised comprehensive Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camps in the tribal areas at Panchayat Halqas Abhama and Draklaran under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan.
The camps witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of local communities, including youth and senior citizens, who availed themselves of a range of government services brought directly to their doorstep.
A health camp was also conducted on the occasion by the Health department during which a team of doctors and paramedics provided on-spot consultation and treatment to the local community.
Special emphasis was laid on awareness regarding sickle cell disease and water-borne diseases. Health experts educated attendees on preventive measures including safe drinking practices, hand hygiene, and early identification of symptoms.
The camp also featured on-spot testing of various health parameters, including sickle cell anemia screening, basic diagnostic checks, and assessments for water-borne diseases. These services were aimed at early detection and timely intervention, particularly for vulnerable members of the tribal communities.
To facilitate digital inclusion, a Common service Centre (CSC) was also set up by the District CSC Coordinator, enabling residents to make enrolments, necessary corrections and updates in Aadhar Cards and other important documents. Besides, registration for other Govt. schemes and scholarships were also facilitated by the CSC.
Various departments including Health, Education, Social Welfare, RDD, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries and others had set up dedicated stalls at the venue to extend on-spot benefits and services to eligible beneficiaries. These departments showcased various welfare schemes and facilitated enrolment, awareness, and immediate assistance as part of the saturation drive.
The day's proceedings were marked by strong community engagement and inter-departmental coordination, aligning closely with the Abhiyan's guiding principle of ‘last mile, first priority.'
