Ramban Admin launches 15-Day ‘Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan' across 11 tribal villages

RAMBAN: As part of the Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh commemoration, the District Administration Ramban, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, launched the 15-day-long ‘Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan' across 11 Gram Panchayat villages.

The event coincided with the 150th birth anniversary of the legendary tribal freedom fighter Bhagwan Birsa Munda Ji.

The district-level inaugural event was organized at Batote and was presided over by Chairperson District Development Council Dr. Shamshad Shan. Deputy Commissioner graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

Prominent citizens and senior district officers including the Chief Planning Officer, ACD, ACP, CMO and heads of line departments also participated in the function.

Addressing the gathering, the Chairperson highlighted the profound contribution of tribal communities in preserving indigenous culture and fostering national pride. She reiterated the importance of active public participation in the Abhiyan to ensure inclusive development.

In his address, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that all 17 line departments linked with the Abhiyan have been put on mission mode to saturate centrally sponsored and flagship schemes across the notified tribal villages. He directed concerned departments to reach every household and individual to ensure doorstep delivery of benefits and services.

The event featured meaningful interactions with tribal representatives, who voiced community issues and underscored the need for sustained welfare interventions.

Multiple government departments including Health, Sheep Husbandry, Horticulture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Revenue, Jal Shakti, JPDCL and FCS&CA set up awareness stalls, conducted registrations on the spot and showcased services and schemes for empowering tribal communities.

The 15-day-long Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan aims not only at saturating schemes in tribal areas but also at raising awareness, bridging gaps in services delivery and fostering socio-economic and political empowerment.

Earlier, Chief Planning Officer Ramban provided a comprehensive overview of the Abhiyan, outlining objectives and planned departmental interventions.

In sync with the central event, similar awareness and outreach programs were also organized today across all notified tribal villages of Bangara, Billawat, Chachwa, Dheeda, Somber, Narthyal, Mangot, Targam, Khari and Shagan located in 7 blocks of the district.
