Entrepreneurship Mela organized under Mission YUVA in Jammu District

JAMMU: To promote entrepreneurship and self-employment among the youth, a Potential Entrepreneurship Mela under the aegis of Mission YUVA was successfully organized today by District Employment & Counselling Centre (DECC) Jammu.

The event, held under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya, witnessed enthusiastic participation from young aspirants, job seekers, and budding entrepreneurs.

Special Secretary, Labour and Employment Department Jammu, Ashok Kumar Sharma and ADC Anusuya Jamwal attended the event as guests of honour.

Deputy Director Employment Jammu Sunaina Saini briefed Mission YUVA's objectives to the participants.

She said Mela aims to create awareness about the Mission YUVA scheme and identify potential beneficiaries who can be nurtured into successful entrepreneurs through training, mentoring, and financial assistance.

An important part of the event was the participation of successful Entrepreneurs, who shared their journey with the participants.

Stalls of Departments offering Self Employment Schemes and Mission YUVA Help Desks were set up to facilitate On-the-Spot Registration, Guidance on Business Plan preparation and filing applications for seeking support under Mission YUVA.

The initiative marked a significant step towards building a robust ecosystem for entrepreneurship and youth empowerment in the region.
