Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025: DC Ramban reviews arrangements at Chanderkote

RAMBAN: Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan and Senior Superintendent of Police Kulbir Singh today visited Chanderkote to review the preparations being made by the stakeholder departments for the smooth conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025.

They were accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak, Additional SP Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, ACR Shoket Hayat Mattoo, CPO Dr Shakeeb Ahmed Rather and officers from several other departments.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner set deadlines for completion of Yatra-related arrangements. He directed the Public Works Department (PWD) to expedite the establishment of langar sites at Chanderkote and other designated locations.

The Assistant Commissioner Panchayats was instructed to deploy staff for cleanliness and sanitation at langar sites, SASB Yatri Niwas, and other accommodation facilities designated for pilgrims.

He also inquired about arrangements made by Jal Shakti and JPDCL for water and Power supply, while instructing for deployment of an adequate number of water tankers and Gen sets to ensure 24x7 services. The Assistant Director, FCS&CA, was asked to ensure adequate availability of ration and LPG during the Yatra period.

The Chief Medical Officer was directed to deploy doctors, paramedical staff, and ambulances as per the medical contingency plan. He was also asked to ensure that all health institutions remain fully functional round the clock to provide quality healthcare services.

The Fire & Emergency Services Department was instructed to deploy fire tenders at strategic locations and ensure the availability of fire extinguishers to deal with any emergency situation.

The Deputy Commissioner also held discussions on security arrangements with SSP and emphasized the need for foolproof security as per the detailed security plan to ensure the safety of the pilgrims.
