Drain restoration measures initiated in Gool Market

RAMBAN: Tehsildar Gool, S. Harjeet Singh today visited the main market area to assess the situation arising from clogging of a deep drain amid heavy rains.

Naib Tehsudar, Intahikab Ahmed and other concerned officials were also present on the occasion.

The blockage led to run off water entering into several shops and residential houses in the market area causing damage to property and household items.

During the visit, the Tehsildar interacted with affected shopkeepers and residents and took stock of the extent of the damage.

Taking serious note of the situation, Tehsildar Gool directed the concerned departments to ensure that the blocked culvert/drain is cleared within a week's time. He emphasized that prompt action is necessary to prevent further inconvenience to the public and avoid recurrence of such incidents in the future.

The Tehsildar assured the locals that the matter has been taken up on priority and necessary steps are being initiated to improve the drainage system in the area.
