Potential Entrepreneurship Mela under Mission YUVA held at Kishtwar

KISHTWAR: A one-day ‘Potential Entrepreneurship Mela' under the Mission YUVA Program was organized today at the Assembly Hall of Government Higher Secondary School Sarthal, Block Trigam.
The event was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Kotwal as the Chief Guest.
The mela witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 120 young and aspiring entrepreneurs from different parts of the district. Key government departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Handloom, Handicraft, Animal Husbandry, JK Bank among others showcased their self-employment schemes by setting up stalls and interacted with the youth.
Assistant Director Employment Shafqat Ali Keen briefed the participants about the Mission YUVA scheme, encouraging them to register and benefit from the opportunities offered. He emphasized the government's commitment to empowering youth through entrepreneurship and financial support.
District Nodal Officer JKEDI also addressed the gathering, highlighting the objectives of Mission YUVA and the role of entrepreneurship in shaping a self-reliant economy.
The Assistant Director Handicrafts/Handloom motivated the youth to avail the government-sponsored self-employment programs including Mission YUVA.
Successful local entrepreneurs also shared their personal experiences, including the challenges they faced and how government schemes helped them establish sustainable ventures. Their stories inspired the attendees and provided real-life insights into the entrepreneurial journey.
A dedicated Mission YUVA Help Desk was set up by the Employment Department to guide aspiring entrepreneurs about the filing of application by using the Mission YUVA mobile app and portal.
The ADC urged the potential entrepreneurs to come forward and take full advantage of the Mission YUVA scheme to become job creators instead of job seekers.
