Indian Red Cross Society & DHS Shopian observe World Blood Donors Day

SHOPIAN: In view of World Blood Donors Day, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Shopian in collaboration with the District Hospital Shopian and Goodluck transport company organized a blood donation camp at District Hospital today.

The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and to express gratitude to regular blood donors for their life-saving contributions.

A total of 20 pints of blood were collected during the camp from voluntary donors, reflecting the community's strong commitment to humanitarian service and solidarity.

Medical professionals, volunteers and members of the Red Cross Society were present to support and ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the donation process.

Awareness sessions were also held to educate the public about the benefits of regular blood donation and how one unit of blood can save multiple lives.
