Orientation programme for SAATHI members held at District Court Shopian

SHOPIAN: District legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian conducted a meeting-cum-orientation session for the SAATHI unit committee members of District Shopian today at ADR Centre District Court Shopian.

The meeting aimed to discuss and finalize the implementation strategy for the SAATHI campaign, which focuses on identifying and rehabilitating destitute children in the district.

Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhary, Chairperson DLSA Shopian chaired the meeting, which was held under the supervision of Mudasar Farooq, Secretary/Sub Judge, DLSA, (Chairperson SAATHI Unit Committee) Shopian.

Various stakeholders including SAATHI committee members of district Shopian attended the meeting.

Chairperson of the District SAATHI Unit conducted the orientation and training session of the District SAATHI Unit Members.

The session focused on orienting committee members on their roles and responsibilities, training them on conducting surveys and identification processes for destitute children, and outlining next steps for the campaign's successful execution.

Through this initiative, DLSA Shopian aims to identify and rehabilitate destitute children, ensuring their access to education, healthcare, and social welfare schemes.

SAATHI campaign is a significant step towards creating a protective and nurturing environment for vulnerable children in district Shopian.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to work together in ensuring the success of the SAATHI campaign and making a meaningful difference in the lives of destitute children.
