World Blood Donor Day: Blood Donation camp held at Handwara

KUPWARA: Indian Red Cross Society in collaboration with the Sub District Administration Handwara, successfully organized a blood donation camp at Government Degree College (GDC) Handwara to commemorate World Blood Donor Day.
The event brought together volunteers, students, and community members to donate blood and contribute to the noble cause of saving lives.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi graced the occasion.
In his address, he emphasized the significance of voluntary blood donation and its impact on patients in need of transfusions. He lauded the efforts of the organizers, volunteers, civil society members, and other stakeholders who contributed to the event's success.
The primary objective of the camp was to promote voluntary blood donation and raise awareness about its importance in healthcare.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC said that the initiative not only collected valuable blood donations but also fostered a sense of community and social responsibility among the participants.
