District Admin Pulwama organizes one-day Potential Entrepreneurship Mela

PULWAMA: In a significant initiative to foster self-employment and entrepreneurial growth, district administration Pulwama, in collaboration with the District Employment Counseling Centre, today organized a one-day potential Entrepreneurship Mela at the Auditorium Hall of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Pampore.
The event was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Awantipora, Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, and witnessed participation of Assistant Director Employment, members of SBDU including DNO JKEDI, & Lead Bank Manager Pulwama, SHG Members, Yuva doots and other concerned officers. Besides a large gathering of youth, budding entrepreneurs, and local residents also attended the mela.
In his address, ADC emphasized the administration's commitment to building a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in the district. He interacted with participants, visited departmental stalls, and urged the youth to take full advantage of the various government-sponsored self-employment schemes.
He further highlighted the importance of such outreach events in enhancing awareness and improving access to livelihood opportunities.
During the programme, participants were actively facilitated with on-the-spot guidance, registration support, and counselling services & several participants registered on-the-spot under Mission Yuva through the official portal.
Informative stalls were set up by all key line departments implementing self-employment schemes. These stalls provided comprehensive information regarding eligibility criteria, scheme benefits, available financial assistance, application procedures, and departmental contact details.
