Entrepreneurship Mela under Mission YUVA organised at Zainapora Shopian
DC calls upon youth to register through Mission Yuva for livelihood generation

SHOPIAN: A vibrant Entrepreneurship Mela under the flagship Mission YUVA initiative was organized today in Zainapora subdivision of the Shopian district by the Department of Employment, Shopian.
The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta as the chief guest. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 250 young and aspiring entrepreneurs from various parts of the district.
Several departments promoting self-employment schemes including Agriculture, Horticulture, Handicrafts & Handloom, Animal Husbandry, NRLM and others had set up informative stalls which were inspected by the DC and scores of people.
Participants were briefed in detail about the benefits, eligibility criteria and modalities of various self-employment schemes. A live demonstration of the Mission YUVA mobile application and online portal was also conducted, enabling participants to gain hands-on experience in accessing scheme-related services.
DC urged youth to register under Mission YUVA and actively avail the benefits of the programme, and also assured full administrative support to the aspiring entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey.
As part of the mela, successful entrepreneurs from diverse sectors shared their inspiring success stories and challenges faced during their entrepreneurial journey.
Towards the conclusion of the event, three notable entrepreneurs were felicitated by the Deputy Commissioner with Mission YUVA mementos in recognition of their achievements. NRLM (National Rural Livelihood Mission) stall was awarded the Best Stall Award, based on stall quality, information delivery, and participant engagement.
A dedicated Help Desk for Mission YUVA was also set up at the venue to acquaint participants about the initiative, assist in registrations, and guide them through the use of the app and portal.
ADC, Shopian, Dr.Zakir Hussain Faaz; SDM Zainapora, Bilal Ahmad; AD Employment and other officers also attended the event.
