2nd National Lok Adalat held at District Court Complex Kathua

KATHUA: The Second National Lok Adalat was successfully conducted today at the ADR Centre of the District Court Complex Kathua under the esteemed guidance of the Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and Principal District & Sessions Judge, Jatinder Singh Jamwal.
The programme commenced with a formal inauguration by the Chairman, followed by a token of respect presented by Secretary DLSA Kamiya Andotra. To ensure the smooth and effective conduct of the Lok Adalat, three benches were constituted at the district headquarters.
The first bench comprised Principal District & Sessions Judge Jatinder Singh Jamwal and Additional Sessions Judge Pravin Pandoh. The second bench included Chief Judicial Magistrate Kathua Ajay Sharma and District Mobile Magistrate (T) Neena Thakur. The third bench was constituted by Sub Judge/Special Mobile Magistrate Amandeep Kour and Munsiff/JMIC Kathua Viren Magotra,
Additional benches were also constituted at outlying courts across the district. At Billawar, the bench consisted of Munsiff/JMIC Parshant Kumar and Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Poonam Gupta. The Hiranagar bench included Munsiff/JMIC Meera Bangrota and Advocate Naresh Gupta. At Mahanpur, the Bench consisted of Munsiff/JMIC Kangana Gupta, while at Basohli, Munsiff/JMIC Bhanu Bhasin and Advocate Shub Kumar formed the bench. At Bani, the bench comprised Munsiff/JMIC Ashutosh Sharma and Advocate Vijay Lalhal.
A substantial number of cases were taken up for amicable settlement during the proceedings. The efforts led to numerous successful resolutions and a significant recovery of amounts, totaling approximately ₹21,480,956.
