Orientation event hosted for YUVA Doots to strengthen implementation of Mission YUVA

RAMBAN: To further strengthen the implementation of Mission YUVA at the grassroots level, an orientation program was convened today for the YUVA Doots here in the Conference Hall of the District Administrative Complex Ramban.
The event was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner, Roshan Lal, who also serves as the District Nodal Officer for Mission YUVA.
In his address, the ADDC appreciated the efforts of the YUVA Doots and motivated them to expand their outreach for registering unemployed youth for Mission YUVA schemes. He stressed the importance of sincere and proactive efforts to ensure that the benefits of the project reach every eligible individual in the district.
Assistant Director Employment Amit Kumar briefed the participants about the targets and strategic action plans for mobilizing youth under the Mission. He emphasized focused outreach, awareness generation and the need for every YUVA Doot to act as a catalyst in connecting the youth with employment and skilling opportunities.
Career Counselling Officer Amir Hassan, along with staff members of the District Employment & Counselling Centre, also took part in the session. A one-to-one interaction was held with each YUVA Doot, during which progress reports were reviewed and issues faced in the field were discussed. Each Doot was assigned a target of filling at least seven applications on a weekly basis.
Later, the ADDC chaired a meeting of the Single Business Development Unit (SBDU). The meeting focused on the verification of applications submitted under Mission YUVA. It was decided that JKEDI would begin the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), and final verification of applications will be conducted at weekly meetings. The next SBDU meeting is scheduled for June 5.
All seven members of the SBDU attended the meeting. The ADDC directed the members to maintain regular field-level monitoring of YUVA Doots and ensure timely processing of applications to expedite implementation on the ground.
