Mega Plantation drive organized under BBBP, NMBA at Authwatoo

BANDIPORA: In order to promote environmental sustainability and celebrate the girl child, a mega plantation drive was conducted today at Athwatoo, Bandipora under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA).

The event was organized by SANKALP Hub for Empowerment of Women (HEW), Mission Shakti Bandipora, Department of Social Welfare, in collaboration with Star Sports Academy Bandipora.

Enthusiastic participation from young girls was witnessed during the drive, who planted trees across areas affected by deforestation in the Athwatoo area. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness while highlighting the importance of protecting and empowering daughters.

The event concluded with a pledge ceremony, followed by an eco walk through the forests of Athwatoo. Participants raised slogans promoting environmental protection and daughters' rights, emphasizing collective responsibility toward building a greener and more equitable future.
