Theft case solved, 4 accused arrested

KATRA: Police Station Katra successfully cracked a theft case in which valuable construction material was stolen from a plot owned by Surinder Singh Shinghari, resident of Bakshi Nagar, Jammu and currently residing at Railway Road, Katra.

A FIR No. 144/2025 U/S 305/331(4) BNS, was registered in this connection at Katra Police Station on May 17, 2025.

Acting swiftly on the complaint, a dedicated team of Police Station Katra launched a meticulous investigation employing both technical analysis and ground-level intelligence.

Through sustained efforts and coordinated action, the team apprehended four accused namely Babu Khan, son of Abdul Haq of Padoh Khairi; Jamaad Ali alias Biniya son of Abdul Haq of Padoh Khairi; Rahul Sharma son of Shubash Chander of Aarli, Tehsil Katra and Karaamat Ali son of Saif Ali of Padoh Khairi.

During the investigation, 85 iron shuttering plates, valued at approximately Rs 2.5 lakhs, were recovered along with the tractor used in the commission of the crime.

The whole operation led by SHO Katra Khyatimaan Khajuria, under the supervision of SDPO Katra Dr Bhishm Dubey.
