DC Kupwara reviews progress under PM Surya Ghar- Muft Bijli Yojana

KUPWARA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today convened a meeting of concerned officers at D.C Office here to review the progress achieved under PM Surya Ghar - Muft Bijli Yojana in the district.
Addressing the meeting, DC impressed upon the officers to make concerted efforts for coverage of maximum beneficiaries under the Muft Bijli scheme so that people in general are benefitted under the scheme which provides huge subsidy for the benefit of the consumers.
She enjoined officers to intensify the IEC campaign of the Yojana so that grassroots level awareness is achieved. She directed to hold joint awareness camps consisting of vendors, banks, departments and various stakeholders ranging from transporters, traders, employees, public representatives and general public to achieve better results for saturation of the Muft Bijli Yojana.
LDM was directed to ensure fast track disbursal of the applications received under the scheme so that maximum households are benefitted.
It was informed that 2079 applications have been received for installation of the solar systems under the Yojana.
Ayushi stressed concerned officers to ensure disposal of all pending cases at the earliest so that people may not face any inconvenience in getting the solar rooftop. She impressed upon the KPDCL officers to gear up the efforts to ensure benefits of the reaches maximum number of households so that they get benefitted with the renewable energy solutions which will both reduce their electricity bills and power woes.
The meeting was attended by CPO Kupwara, Executive Engineers of KPDCL, Lead District Manager, District Manager CSC and other concerned.
