DIPR hosts Symposium, Painting Competition to promote Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR: The Cultural Unit, Jammu of the Department of Information & Public Relations today organised a Symposium and Painting Competition on the theme ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan' here at Little Angels High School to raise awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

The programme was graced by the Vice Principal, Vicky Raina, as the Chief Guest. Esteemed judges for the event were Pallavi Gupta, Sharda Gupta and Geeta Devi, who carefully evaluated the enthusiastic performances and artworks of the young participants.

A total of 11 students participated in the Symposium, passionately expressing their views on the importance of a drug-free society. The first prize was clinched by Fiza Khan, second prize by Adati, third prize by Samriti and consolation prizes were given to Arpana and Divyam

In the painting competition, 10 students showcased their creativity and conveyed strong anti-drug messages through their artworks. The first prize bagged by Sanchit Singh, second prize by Amulaya Sharma, third prize by Rayyan Javid and consolation prizes were given to Abhinandan Bamotra and Vidushi Sharma.

The event was attended by a gathering of students, staff members and officials from the Cultural Unit, Jammu.

Addressing the audience, the Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the Cultural Unit for organising the programmes and encouraged students to act as ambassadors of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, spreading awareness in their families and communities.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and appreciation for all participants, making it a memorable and impactful day in the school's calendar. The whole programme was conducted under the directions of Joint Director Information Jammu Deepak Dubey and under supervision of Cultural Officer Jammu Mukesh Kumar Sharma.
