Special gram sabhas organized in different parts of Udhampur District

UDHAMPUR: District Administration Udhampur, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai, conducted special Gram Sabhas and awareness activities in different Panchayats of the district as part of the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan.

The special Gram Sabhas were organized with the twin objective of finalizing development plans and sensitizing the tribal population about various government schemes and welfare programmes.

Gram Sabhas were held in several Panchayats, including Rasli Gaderan, Dudu-Basantgarh, Mandlote Panchayat Pachote of Block Chenani and Chapper-A Panchayat Block Latti-Marothi etc.

A large number of people from the villages and adjoining areas actively participated. The concerned officers engaged with the community members, facilitated discussions for the formulation of development plans and spread awareness about different government schemes and the importance of service saturation.

During the Gram Sabhas, locals put forth several developmental demands and issues, seeking their redressal on a priority basis.
