DC Udhampur reviews progress under PMAY-Urban 2.0 scheme

UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, today convened a meeting of officers from line departments to review the progress of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 scheme in the district.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Umesh Shan, Chief Planning Officer Mohd Iqbal and other senior officers.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure adherence to prescribed guidelines in letter and spirit to cover all eligible and genuine beneficiaries under the scheme. She further instructed the officers to meticulously verify all parameters as per the scheme provisions and to ensure that the benefits reach the rightful beneficiaries.

Stressing the importance of public awareness, the DC asked the officers to organise special awareness camps to educate the public about the scheme and assist them during the application process. She also directed them to proactively reach out to targeted groups and submit progress reports on a weekly basis.
