Cultural Unit DIPR Jammu presents Nukkad Natak on Hypertension at SMGS Hospital

JAMMU: The artists of the Cultural Wing Department of Information and Public Relation (DIPR) Jammu, today staged an impactful Nukkad Natak (street play) in the premises of SMGS Hospital, Jammu to raise public awareness about the causes, symptoms, prevention and management of hypertension - a silent but deadly health condition that affects a growing number of people in today's fast-paced world.
Through engaging performances, the artists convey important messages in a simple and relatable manner, ensuring that people from all walks of life could understand and absorb the information.
While speaking on the occasion, Zonal Leprosy Officer Sushma Mattoo and Medical Superintendent, Dr. Dara Singh appreciated the commendable efforts of the Cultural Unit, Department of Information and Public Relations for organizing such informative and socially relevant events. They emphasized that such initiatives are essential to sensitize the community about public health issues and motivate them towards preventive healthcare.
The entire programme was conducted under the directions of Joint Director Information Jammu, Deepak Dubey and under the supervision of Cultural Officer Jammu, Mukesh Kumar Sharma. The event received wholehearted support from Medical Superintendent Dr. Dara Singh, Dr. Sushma Mattoo, Zonal Leprosy Officer/Divisional Nodal Officer NCD Cell, Directorate of Health Services Jammu, and the supportive staff of the hospital.
The Department of Information and Public Relations reaffirmed its commitment to continue using cultural tools like street theatre to reach the masses and spread awareness on vital social and health-related topics.
