DG Floriculture, Parks & Gardens visits Reasi District

Inspects Shalimar Park upgradation project at Katra, other works

REASI: Director General, Department of Floriculture, Parks and Gardens, Jammu Vivek Sharma conducted an official visit to Reasi District today.

During the visit, the Director General inspected the ongoing departmental works, with a special focus on the upgradation project of Shalimar Park, Katra. She directed the executing agencies to ensure high-quality standards in all developmental works.

Ms. Sharma also visited Kindroria Park (Katra), Zanana Park (Reasi), and Kalika Temple Park (Reasi).

At each location, she emphasized the importance of cleanliness and proper maintenance of the parks and gardens in the district.

Furthermore, the Director General asked the department to plan a comprehensive plantation drive for monsoon season and formulate a plan for the mechanisation of park maintenance operations.

She was accompanied by Joint Director (Planning) Gurneet Kaur, Landscape Officer Vikrant Sharma, Assistant Floriculture Officer Arjun Singh Parihar, engineers from the PWD Department, and Section Officer. Sudhir Sharma.
