3-Day Women for trees campaign concludes

JAMMU: The three day ‘Women for Trees' campaign, organized by Mission Directorate AMRUT and NULM J&K under AMRUT MITRA 2.0 concluded today.

During the campaign 523 women members of 76 SHGs formed under NULM visited 51 sites of water bodies and parks and planted trees. The organisers have set a target of planting around 2621 trees during June-to August 2025 under the aegis of Ek Ped Maa ke Naam.

The Mission Directors Vikas Sharma, Special Secretary to Government H&UDD/ MD AMRUT J&K and Mridhu Slathia Additional Secretary to Government H&UDD / MD NULM J&K pioneered the event under the esteemed leadership of Commissioner/ Secretary to Government, Housing & Urban Development Department Mandeep Kour.

J&K Nodal Officers Parvaiz Naik, (CEO JUDA) and Zahida Mir, (CEO UDAK) put in all efforts for the success of the Mission mode Campaign with the marvelous support from Urban Local Bodies of Jammu & Kashmir, DUDAs, City Nodal Officers of NULM and AMRUT.
