Empowering MSMEs through RAMP: Awareness Workshop held at ITI Ganderbal

GANDERBAL: A district-level awareness workshop on the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) programme was successfully conducted today at ITI Ganderbal.
The event was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO), in collaboration with the State Programme Implementation Unit (SPIU) - Grant Thornton Bharat LLP, and the District Industries Centre (DIC) Ganderbal. JKTPO is the nodal agency for RAMP under the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
The workshop aimed to sensitize local stakeholders, enterprises, and departmental officials on the objectives and interventions under the RAMP scheme.
Officials from DIC Ganderbal, JKTPO, Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Handicrafts and Handloom Department, Lead Bank Ganderbal, and a large number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the district participated in the awareness programme.
The SPIU team conducted a comprehensive presentation on the RAMP scheme, outlining its vision, core elements, and a strategic implementation plan specifically designed for Jammu & Kashmir. The session underscored RAMP's significance in boosting the competitiveness, market connectivity, and resilience of MSMEs in the region.
The presentation also emphasized the collaborative implementation framework involving DICs, JKEDI, Banks, and other departments to ensure last-mile delivery and maximum outreach of RAMP benefits across sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, officials reiterated the Government's commitment to enabling a robust MSME ecosystem in the Union Territory. They highlighted the importance of awareness creation and capacity building to empower local entrepreneurs and artisans.
Later, an interactive discussion was held, during which participants actively engaged and posed questions regarding scheme eligibility, financial assistance, technological advancements, capacity development, and market opportunities.
These inquiries were thoroughly addressed by officials from the SPIU and DIC, helping to enhance understanding and build confidence among the attendees.
