Hyderabad MP and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, who was part of an all-party delegation to foreign countries, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to represent India and expose Pakistan's role in terrorism.
"I express my gratitude. There is no party affiliation, nor should there be. India has been a victim of terrorism. Whether during Vajpayee's time or during the 26/11 attacks, we have consistently raised such issues. Our purpose is not just to be elected and speak in Parliament, but to raise serious concerns. Jay Panda is heading this delegation, which will visit the UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, and return to the UK. I believe we will have a detailed meeting before departing for these countries," Owaisi told reporters on Saturday.
He also observed that Turkey should reconsider its stance, citing India's numerous historic connections and relationships. Owaisi reminded that India is home to 220 million Muslims, more than Pakistan's population.
The AIMIM leader stressed that as the world's fifth-largest economy, any destabilization of India would impact the entire global community. Regarding Afghanistan, Owaisi noted it was positive that the Taliban wants to establish friendly relations with India, as the ports there could significantly benefit Indian interests. "Even they (Afghanistan) are fed up with Pakistan," he remarked.
Sharply reacting to the Madhya Pradesh minister's comments about Indian Air Force officer Sofiya Quereshi, Owaisi said, "What kind of filth is being spread by a minister in Madhya Pradesh? We proudly identify our spokesperson. How can one form relationships with terrorists in the name of religion?" He also called for the TRF to be declared a foreign terrorist organization and stated that Pakistan has become a client state of China.
