736 Students participate in inter-school zone level tournaments in district Ramban

RAMBAN: In a vibrant display of youth talent and sports enthusiasm, the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Ramban, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Baseer-Ul-Haq Choudhary and Supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jagdesh Raj Sharma, organized Inter-School Zonal Level Competitions across different zones of the district.

The events witnessed spirited participation by 736 students from both government and private schools.

In Zone Batote, the competitions were conducted in Kho-Kho, Kabaddi and Badminton for U-14 and U-17 boys. The event was hosted at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Batote, and was inaugurated by the school Principal, Dev Raj Sharma. On the occasion, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Joginder Paul Gupta, presented a memento to the Principal as a token of appreciation. A total of 519 students from the zone participated, showcasing remarkable enthusiasm, skill, and sportsmanship throughout the competitions.

Similarly, the Inter-School Zonal Level Athletic Meet and Wrestling competitions for U-14 and U-17 boys were organized at Government Degree College Gool Moila. The event drew a participation of 217 students, all of whom exhibited commendable athletic ability and dedication.

The field staff of both Zone Batote and Zone Gool played a crucial role in the successful execution of these sporting events, with their active involvement and commitment being widely appreciated.

The competitions not only highlighted the growing interest of students in physical education and competitive sports but also reflected the DYSS Department's consistent efforts to foster a healthy sporting culture in the district. Events like these provide young athletes with vital exposure and a platform to demonstrate their talents, helping pave the way for future sporting achievements.
