Senior BJP leader, ex MLC Ramesh Arora passes away

JAMMU: Senior BJP leader, former MLC and Additional Advocate General, Ramesh Arora breathed his last on Sunday evening after a brief illness. He was 58.

Arora a staunch RSS man was associated with various Hindu organizations in Jammu since his school days. He also headed Hindu Raksha Samiti during nineties.

His cremation will take place at Jogi Gate Cremation Ground at 12 noon tomorrow. He is survived by his wife and a daughter.

Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha has condoled the sad demise of senior political leader and former Member of Legislative Council, Ramesh Arora.

In a condolence message, the Lt Governor has said, "I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing away of Ramesh Arora. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. I pray to God to grant eternal peace to the departed soul".

J&K BJP leaders including party president, Sat Sharma and general secretary (Org) Ashok Koul have also expressed their profound shock and grief over the demise of Arora and expressed their deepest sympathy with the bereaved family.
