District Administration Srinagar organises awareness camp on New Criminal Laws at Khonmoh

SRINAGAR: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, an awareness camp on the newly enacted three criminal laws was today organised by the District Administration Srinagar at the Community Hall, Khonmoh.

The programme witnessed participation from key stakeholders, including Deputy Director Prosecution Srinagar, Javeed Ahmed Bhat, Block Development Officer Khonmoh and representatives from the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar and other allied Departments.

During the programme, the resource persons highlighted the key provisions and transformative aspects of the new criminal laws, aiming to sensitize the general public and stakeholders about the implications and changes brought forth by these legislations.

The event was attended by a large gathering, including public representatives, community members, school children, and local residents, who engaged enthusiastically in the interactive sessions.

The awareness camp is part of a broader initiative by the District Administration to ensure effective dissemination of information regarding legal reforms and promote legal literacy at the grassroots level.
