J&K Branch of ICAI celebrates Women's Day

JAMMU: The Jammu & Kashmir Branch of the Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) marked International Women's Day with a special event at its premises (ICAI Bhawan, Canal Road, Jammu), celebrating the contributions and achievements of Women Chartered Accountants in the region.
The event featured CA Geeta Sharma, CA Nitika Kapoor, and CA Pearl Gupta as speakers, who shared their insights on women empowerment, leadership, and their increasing impact on the accounting profession and society.
They emphasized the need for greater participation of women in leadership roles and discussed strategies to overcome professional challenges.
Addressing the gathering, CA Sourav Pargal, Chairman of the J&K Branch of ICAI, reaffirmed the branch's commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive professional environment for women. He emphasized the need for continuous learning, leadership opportunities, and equal representation of women in key decision-making roles.
The event was also attended by CA Amit Gupta (Vice Chairman), CA Jatin Malhotra (Secretary), CA Sanchit Aggarwal (Treasurer), CA Ayush Sawhney, and CA Ayush Mahajan (Executive Members), along with a large number of women professionals who actively engaged in discussions and networking sessions.
As part of the celebrations, a felicitation ceremony was held to recognize and honour the contributions of Women Chartered Accountants to the profession and society.
To add a touch of enjoyment and interaction, fun and engaging games and activities were organized at the branch premises. These activities fostered a sense of celebration, making the occasion even more memorable for all participants.
