MSME DFO Jammu organizes awareness program on LEAN

JAMMU: An awareness program on LEAN competitive scheme of Union Ministry of MSME was conducted by MSME-Development & Facilitation Office in collaboration with Association of Small Scale Industries Gangyal for encouraging the MSMEs of the region manufacturing products of world class qualities with minimum wastages in manufacturing process like improvement in storage of raw material, arrangement of tools, placing of machineries according to scientific layout, material handling, optimizing the workforce, storage of Finished goods, conducting Motion study etc.
MSME-Development & Facilitation Office is a field office of Union Ministry of MSME implements various schemes and activities for the benefit of MSME Sector in Jammu & Kashmir.
The activities including Entrepreneurship Awareness Program, Intellectual Property Rights Awareness Program, PM-Vishwakarma Seminar, PM-Vishwakarma Awareness Workshop, Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Program, Management Development Program, Reimbursement of Barcode Expenditure, Reimbursement of Stall Charges, To and From Charges, Advertising Expenditure for participating in 250 exhibition or trade fairs approved by Union Ministry of MSME.
Union Ministry of MSME provides subsidy from 12 lakh to 32 lakh for any LEAN Cluster.The lists of approved exhibitions are available in https://my.msme.gov.in/MyMsme/Reg/COM_ViewEvent.aspx.
Address on LEAN was given by Vinod Pandita from Quality Council of India for achieving the said objectives whereas a lecture on Schemes implemented by the field office was delivered by Assistant Director D.K.Tyagi.
Earlier, President of the association Virendra Jain welcomed the participants and requested G. Velladurai, Joint Director of MSME DFO Jammu to organize similar programs for the benefit of their members frequently.
