Jodhamal Junior School Celebrates its 20th Prize-Giving Ceremony

JAMMU: Jodhamal Public School marked a momentous occasion as it celebrated its 20th Prize-Giving Ceremony on Saturday, 23 November 2024.
The Chief Guest for the event was Yasha Mudgal, Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Tourism Department, J&K.
The Guest of Honour Ankita Kar (IRAS), Chief Executive Officer, e-Governance, Jammu & Kashmir.
Adding to the prestige of the event were other distinguished dignitaries Dr. Sunil Bhardwaj, MLA Ramnagar and Bhupinder Kumar (IAS), Administrative Secretary, Public Works Department whose esteemed presence elevated the significance of the celebration.
The Annual Report for the Academic Session 2023-24 was eloquently presented by Vice Principal Amita Arora, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders for their unwavering support.
She proudly announced that Jodhamal Public School has been ranked 28th Pan-India in India's Best Co-Ed Day Schools and secured the top rank in J&K across all categories in the India School Rankings 2024-25 by C-Fore and Brainfeed Magazine.
Remarkably, the school retained its position as the Top Co-Educational Day School in J&K for the 10th consecutive year, as per the Education World Magazine. The CBSE results for the 2023-24 academic year were exceptional, with Class XII achieving a batch average of 84.06%, with 43 students scoring above 90%, and Class X securing an impressive batch-average of 87.8%.
Arora highlighted several remarkable achievements, emphasizing Jodhamal's commitment to fostering innovation, academic excellence, and holistic development. Notable milestones included ICARUS-24, India's first school-level Drone War Competition, where Jodhamal's Drone Teams qualified for the National Championship, setting a benchmark in student-led engineering initiatives.
Jodhamal's focus on STEM education further propelled the school to victory in the F1 in Schools National Championship, with Team Apex triumphing and qualifying for the World F1 Finals in Saudi Arabia.
A special mention was made of Karman Singh, who earned a British Patent and two Indian Patents for his groundbreaking and socially impactful innovations. Remarkably, Jodhamal is the only school in India where students secured one British patent and four Indian patents for their innovations within a single academic year.
Additionally, she proudly mentioned Rohinya Paroch's remarkable achievement in securing the prestigious International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO) Award. The Vice Principal also celebrated the literary accomplishments of 177 Jodhamal students, whose published works are now available online.
In sports, the school excelled with 32 skaters, 15 swimmers, and 15 Matsogi-do participants qualifying for national championships. Overall, Jodhamal sent an impressive contingent of 120 students to represent J&K in various national games, making it the only school in J&K with the largest representation at the national level, underscoring its dedication to holistic growth.
Trustee Nandan Kuthiala applauded the united efforts of Team Jodhamal in making the event a resounding success, highlighting the theme of "Synergy and Collective Brilliance."
The ceremony commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp, followed by a heartfelt welcome address by the Dy. Head Girl, Samaira Jamwal. The Army and Navy cadets of the NCC offered a ceremonial salute to the esteemed guests.
The cultural programme enthralled the audience with a series of vibrant performances.
A standout moment of the evening was the play "Ashes to Aspirations (The Healing Hand)," which movingly explored the transformative journey of healing and personal growth. Through its touching narrative, the play demonstrated how resilience and hope can emerge from the most difficult circumstances, guiding characters from despair to empowerment.
A spellbinding rendition of the divine manifestation, along with well-choreographed performances like Nrityanjali and an eclectic orchestra featuring over 120 participants, transported the audience through the golden eras of the '70s, '80s, and '90s.
The event also featured dynamic dances such as the Carnival, Spanish, Emotion, Flashback and Togetherness Dances. The event also featured the unveiling of Jodhamal Reels 2024 and behind-the-scenes videos, highlighting the unceasing efforts of the team.
The main awards were received by the school's Jr. Head Boy, Jr Head Girl, Jr. Deputy Head Boy, Deputy Head Girl, Academic Prefects, and CCA Prefects.
The Annual Sports Trophy was awarded to Enterprise House, the CCA Trophy to Invention House, the Academic Trophy to Invention House, and the Overall Trophy to Invention House. The celebrations concluded on a high note, with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by the Dy. Head Boy Aviral Kapoor.
The Ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
