GDC Marh hosts Orientation cum Induction Programme for 1st Semester students

JAMMU: Deeksharambh Committee of Government Degree College Marh, in collaboration with IQAC and Student Presidium organized a two day "Deeksharambh\orientation cum Induction Programme" for Ist Semester students of session 2024-25.

Induction programme was inaugurated by the College Principal Prof. Rakesh Kumar Koul by lighting the lamp in presence of all faculty members amid recitation of Saraswati Vandana and Sanskrit Shlokas by Mr Kewal.

The programme aimed to welcome and acquaint fresher students with the college's resources, faculty and different academic offerings. Principal of the college extended a warm welcome to the new students of UG NEP 1st Semester.

He encouraged the students to work hard and motivated them to achieve their goals in life.

Earlier, Prof. Madhavi Prasher Convener Deeksharambh welcomed the fresher students and informed them about Deeksharambh.

Prof. Imtiaz Shahid, Convenor IQAC, briefed the students about the significance of IQAC in the life of a student. Dr. Balwinder Saini from the Department of Chemistry acquainted the students about the attributes and salient features of National Education Policy-2020 vis-à-vis revised course structure, holistic and multidisciplinary approach, Digi locker, credits, JUCC portal mapping etc.

A Slide show highlighting achievements and activities of different departments of the college was also screened for the fresher.
