5-day civil defence training concludes at GDC Ramgarh

SAMBA: A five day long Civil Defence basic training program concluded on Friday at Government Degree College, Ramgarh.
The training program commenced on October 21, 2024 under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjli Andotra, Principal of the College. The training course was organized under the guidance of Additional Director General of Police HG/Civil Defence & SDRF, J&K and Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Samba.
The Civil Defence Experts imparted training to the students on the First Aid, prevention, management and control of Fire Fighting, treatment for Snake bite, Choking and other basic life saving techniques and preventive measures during the natural/ man made disaster.
The College Principal appreciated and thanked the Civil Defence team for imparting such a training programme. She highlighted the importance of such training for the holistic development of the college students and youth as a whole towards nation building. She emphasized that it not only prepares them for lending a hand during the time of disaster but also makes them responsible towards the society.
Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Prof. Sandeep Kumari, Prof. Brahm Dutt, Dr. Shivali Panjgotra, Dr. Shivali Choudhary, Dr. Neeraj Bargotra, Rani, Anjali, Jarnail Singh and other staff members of the college were also present on the occasion. The training programme was co-ordinated by Ashok Kumar (PTI).
The experts who gave the training were Aman Singh Civil Defence Instructor, SDRF 2nd Battalion Jammu, Pyara Singh Incharge SDRF team, Samba and his team.
