GCW Udhampur organizes Quiz Competition

UDHAMPUR: A quiz competition on the theme- "Freedom Struggle and National Heroes" was organised by Department of Zoology, Government College for Women, Udhampur under Independence Day, 2024 celebrations program from 1st August, 2024 to 15th August, 2024.

Program was conducted under the patronage and guidance of the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Nalini Pathania. Dr. Sanjeet Kour, Head, Department of Zoology presented the formal welcome address and a brief resume about the event. Dr. Neha Antal, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology conducted the proceedings of quiz competition.

A total of 15 students of the College participated actively in the said event.

Mansvi Choudhary of Sem-V adjudged first position, while Sandhiya Manhas and Radhika Rani secured second and third position respectively.

Winners were awarded certificates by Prof Indu Khajuria, Head, Department of Chemistry. She congratulated the winners and appreciated the organizers for hosting the wonderful event that will go a long way in motivating and inspiring the students to actively participate in such events.

Judgment and Scoring of the quiz was done by Prof. Pooja Bharti, Head, Department of Geography.

The event ended with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Anita, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology.

Winner of the quiz shall represent the college for inter-college quiz competition that shall be held on 12th August, 2024 at GDC (Boys), Udhampur.
