JU students get hands-on legal experience at Gandhi Nagar Model Police Station

JAMMU: The Law School, University of Jammu organized a unique educational experience for its 3rd-year students, providing them with hands-on exposure to legal procedures at the Gandhi Nagar Model Police Station, Jammu.
The enthusiastic students participated in the practical training, an important component of their academic curriculum.
The visit aimed to offer the students a comprehensive understanding of the day-to-day operations at a police station, enhancing their practical knowledge and application of legal concepts.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe and engage with various facets of the functioning of the police station, including the case diary, FIR diary, and the Malkhana.
Interaction with station officials, including Station House Officer Sudhir Sadhotra and investigation officers, allowed the students to gain insights into crime detection processes and the pivotal role of the police in the criminal justice system.
The visit fostered a valuable exchange of information, with students posing questions and receiving detailed explanations from experienced law enforcement professionals.
This visit was organized under the guidance of Prof. Manju Jamwal, Director, The Law School and coordinated by subject teachers Asst. Prof. Dr. Rajneesh Khajuria, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nitan Sharma and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ramesh Kumar.
